The River of Doubt
Teddy Roosevelt was not always a winner. He lost the election he was running for in 1913. He wanted to leave and get away from everyone to clear his mind. He decided to take a trip to Brazil to visit his son. When he arrived there, Brazil's minister approached him with an oppurtunity to explore and uncharted river. He joined forces with one of Brazil's most famous explorers on this journey. Throughout this journey they face disease, attacks, dangerous rapids, and starvation. Roosevelt was nearly killed from an infection he got in his leg, but him and the explorers navigated safely through the river of doubt.
